Title
Bob and Pup on Boardwalk
Artist
Patty Donoghue
Medium
Painting - Cold Wax And Oil On Board In Black Floater Frame
Description
This small is a small but powerful 8 x 10 piece, created by Patty Donoghue. The painting is done in cold wax and oil mediums with additional textures created through layering and scratching through the layers with a trowel or other tools. The primary colors are soft teal and gold.
The scene was inspired by a friends photograph of her husband Bob, a retired Air Force Airmen, enjoying a walk on the boardwalk over, the marshes toward the beach. The pup was added later upon request by the artists husband, but fits, as Bob does have a little white dog. The scene has a spiritual implication that was not considered by the original painting goal. The symbolism is probably quite appropriate for a tribute to gentlemen in his 80s that has lived a productive and admirable lifetime. Bob is one man but this painting, could represent many older figures that have lived a life full of experiences that we will never know about. Their rewards are still ahead of them even though they forever believe that their rewards are now. A super generation of heroes.
Donoghue Scans her work in high definition insuring that these original paintings can be reproduced in a variety of high quality prints and materials. This piece as a greeting card on a bag will make a nice gift. As an acrylic print, canvas or in a frame, this one will bring satisfaction to its owners. The printer is so very sure if their print abilities that each purchase is guaranteed to the buyers satisfaction with a money back guarantee.
