This whimsical ink painting by Patty Donoghue has done a significant job in helping to support and secure an additional 3D Mammogram bus for the Peidmont Triad region in NC.
This painting changes the focus of getting a dreaded mammogram to one of excitement and clamor as the women run, bike, cartwheel and hop to their preventative mammogram on the pink bus. While being a member of the Womens Council organization that sponsored the project, Donoghue was inspired to paint this piece. Hickory and Lenoir, NC were specifically sited as areas that this bus would serve. Having traveled to this area frequently, the artist chose to place the Bus among the hills around those towns. There are over 40 women in the painting rushing for their 3D scan. The project is now a reality with the financial piece completed. The ribbon cutting for this bus is Scheduled 10/23/2019.
