This is a colorful and fun impressionistic painting of the famous and elegant egret found hunting on the North Carolina shore line. In this painting the egret is against abstract colorful reeds and water in the background and foreground of the painting. Spending time in Southport, Oak Island and Wilmington this bird is there for the long hall. The grasslands along the coast of the Cape Fear River all of the inlets and intercostal waterways make this an ideal place to fish and live the admired life as a coastal seabird. We love them and this original painting, a fun light rendition is ideal for the coastal home and beach spaces. Donoghue's original paintings can be found in galleries in North Carolina. Her bird series will be seen at the Hannah Block Historic USO building in the River District this month.
