Painting - Watercolor Painted On Paper
Description
This watercolor painted goldfinch, yellow bird is the State bird of New Jersey, Iowa, and Washington and is found up and down the North Americas from Canada to Alabama and North Carolina and even into Mexico and Texas during the winter seasons. Loving to eat thistles these birds are attracted to feeders and remain the delight to birdwatchers both young and old. In this painting the impressionistic bird is perched against and abstract branch and foliage background, adding to the delight of this recognized bird and backyard visitor. During the 2020 Pandemic stay at home timeframe, I spent time as an artist reproducing these hopeful, loving creatures of wildlife in a collection to be shared on social media. The series reminds followers that Life continues to go on, that God is in control and that we will prevail. In hopes to reduce the mental anguish, fear and depression these birds have been presented to the public in as many venues as possible. Please feel free to share, or even write a note using these birding subjects.

Patty, beautiful work of art. We used to have 20 at a time on our feeder, now I only see one or two on occasion. I don't know what happened to our flock. f/l
