Description

This is a Hooded Oriole inspired by a pantograph from western Kansas from which the impressionistic painting was painted using watercolors on paper by Patty Donoghue. The orioles across the country have different shades and appearances. This one more of a yellow tone is related to its southern brother that shows more orange in its feathers. The orioles of the Eastern United States has the golden hues in different locations. The birds seem to be attracted to oranges and for some reason grape jelly. This painting has been added to Donoghue's collection of bird. The 2020 pandemic has inspired the artist to celebrate the nature that is provided from a window view anywhere across America or the world.
