This bright ink painting is inspired by Levi’s Legacy and his mother’s beautiful writings of her son and her grief in losing him so suddenly. The painting “Learning to fly” shows three children swinging high on swings from a large tree. The many angels are encouraging and enjoying the kids. They are pushing the thrilled girls. In the foreground the boy is ecstatically taking flight; the angels are encouraging, assisting while one winds up the no longer needed swing ropes. A small black dog happily observes the whole scene.
