This pelican perched on a piling, was inspired by a scene at Southport, NC. I have visited there frequently and the inspiration to paint is overwhelming. Here the rich, Aqua, turquise, and teal blues, rub against the mustard yellow, shoreline. I am pleased with the relaxed feel of this Square original painting.
