Artist's Description
MoonLight Stroll, is an interesting, story, evoking, original oil and wax, abstract, figurative painting.. The impressionistic style of shapes, including birds, people, plants, and water, under a reflecting moonlight, brings a story to life, for the viewer. Are the shapes people walking, ghosts from a trai,l of wonderers, trail of tears? The moon and its reflection and the bird shapes in the fore ground are the most realistic figures but not necessarily the heart of the story.
The blue, yellow and pinks blend together, to make this one an eye appealing, piece that can be enjoyed with each look. The Reflection at evening, with the full moon, on the water, and the clear water birds, in the foreground, draw the viewer in for more understanding, of the linear shapes, in the background. This painting slowly developed as I layered the mediums on canvas, over time. The creamy wax medium leaves a mate finish and continues to appear soft but textured.
