This is a bright colorful tropical abstract painting by Patty Donoghue. The setting has the impression of a palm tree with buildings and structures in the background. The impression is that the small palm is backed by taller buildings as it lines a street or a waterway. The abstracted scene could be anywhere that consists of buildings in a tropical place where palm trees are in abundance. The bright whimsical feel of the painting would ensure that the location is a fun and enjoyable vacation landing. There is color, reflection, geometric shapes and also plant life. The painting is highly textured and it covers the color wheel. Donoghue completed this abstract composition in a loose quick study, scraping and scratching through the layers of wax and oil paints to see the lower surface as the shapes and designs formed.
