Description
This is a bright energetic original cold wax oil painting that I did; being inspired by the Great Plains of Kansas as we drove through western Kansas. The tiny pumps in the distance stand alone against a growing skyline of wind turbines, I love the subject and the representation of the hard work, and faith the farmers of the Midwest, have. Keeping the land tilled, with wheat and milo, while heading cattle and pulling oil from the rich soil too. I loved using this medium as it allowed me to give the scan the texture and depth that this, landscape revealed Rural farmland, farmers, ranchers and the drive of these people are something, America should be so proud of. Thank you for viewing this piece and appreciating the Country, that it represents.

Thank you for taking a look at this one John. I am seeing the original as I type. It has a great deal of texture and color. It needed to cure for a while, but I think it is ready for its forever home.
